Senior Backend Engineer (with Frontend Expertise)

About the role: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend development. This role involves developing and maintaining backend services and infrastructure, ensuring quality and performance. You will also be responsible for maintaining infrastructure and addressing not only codebase issues but also broader system challenges.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop technical designs and collaborate with teammates to discuss solutions.

• Make informed decisions on infrastructure and architecture.

• Write robust, test-driven code primarily for backend services, with occasional frontend contributions.

• Take ownership of multiple services, supporting other teams with inquiries and initiating tasks for service improvements.

• Research and analyze task topics to accurately estimate their complexity.

Qualifications: 

• Extensive experience in product development as a Backend Engineer.

• Proven track record in startup environments.

• Proficiency in remote working setups.

• Expertise in Python (as a main language) 

• Production experience with Go (at least a second) 

• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for frontend development, particularly with ReactJS.

• Production experience with NodeJS (NestJS).

• Strong skills in debugging and writing unit tests.

• Proficient in using message brokers, streams, and databases like PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka.

• Expertise in REST API development.

• Experience in developing headless workers, such as RabbitMQ workers.

• Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Kibana, Grafana, and AWS. Collaborate with DevOps to monitor logs, identify issues, and address memory leaks.

Preferred: 

• Experience in developing services that integrate with GenAI LLM.

• Track record in creating B2B level services.

• 1+ year of experience working remotely.

• Experience with programming languages such as Go, Rust, and Java.
